Flat Lay Photography
Flat lay photography is an image that is shot directly from above--a bird's eye view--of carefully arranged objects that are meant to represent a theme, story, person, etc. For my flat lay, I chose a theme rather central to me and did an arrangement of objects and clothing articles from my Tomorrow x Together concert I went to back in July. These objects are significant to me because they represent a moment in time when I truly felt happy. I was seeing my favorite music act in concert with my best friend, floor seats, and a really cute outfit. I had a smile on my face the entire night. I think my photo shoot was successful; I like how I arranged my objects and how therapeutic it was for me. Flat lay photography is supposed to be something one enjoys, and I very much enjoyed it, so I think it was successful. Next time, however, I think I would bring a few more objects. I forgot one at home. I also think I would work to adjust the lighting because I had a few glares in my final shot.
